Working onsite at our Melbourne, Florida office as a Junior Developer one of your primary responsibilities will be to respond to and address customer support requests in a timely and respectful manner. Using our online ticketing system, you will answer questions, help troubleshoot or escalate website issues and perform maintenance on our client’s WordPress websites. You will also use our task management system (Wrike) to communicate with other departments and escalate issues to the appropriate team members.
In addition to troubleshooting issues, our developers work closely with our Graphic Designers and Account Management team to implement changes and updates to client websites.
We also rely on our developers to advise the RPS team and our clients on the latest technologies and the best way to implement them. We have internal reviews for our designers to showcase their website designs and we rely on our developers to give input on functionality and plausibility of those designs in a constructive manner.
As a Junior Developer, you are not expected to be an expert in developing websites on day 1. One of our core values is, “Continuously Improving” and we are seeking an open-minded individual with the desire and drive to learn and grow in this role. We will help train you on best practices and techniques for building WordPress websites that we have learned over our many years of serving customers.
As part of the creative team you will be led by the Lead Web Developer who will help manage and prioritize projects, review developed sites, provide training and answer any questions you may have or come across while on the job.

Benefits
(Compensation): The offered position is $15/hour, with two pay periods per month. This is a non-exempt hourly position. Career planning meetings will provide a path of advancement with time.
(Office Hours): The minimum hours you will be expected to be in the office are Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with availability outside of those hours to ensure time-sensitive clients are taken care of. Hourly non-exempt workers will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek.
(Work From Home Days): Work from home days are allowed to be taken 4 days a month upon approval.
(Vacations): 13 days of paid time off will be provided each year (awarded after 90 days with the company). Opportunities to earn additional days with tenure are available. The position also includes 11 paid holidays.
